As I sit here at my cousin John’s track meet, I realized that I had a lot of things go on last week. I know you guys are usually interested in what’s going on in my life, so I thought I’d provide a little recap with some pictures (because you love them!).
Last Sunday was my cousin LeeAnne’s fifth birthday. We all packed up and went over there for an afternoon not-a-birthday party (she was nervous about it). I think we all had a good time playing with all kinds of toys, the trampoline and checking out some of the animals like the dog, chickens and goats. It sure was a long day!
Here’s the birthday girl and Aunt Patty.
Check out me and Mommy.
On Monday I had another doctor’s appointment. Nothing wrong, just a checkup because I’m a whole year and a half old now. I’m told that’s a nice little milestone. The whole visit went well and I’m 75th percentile or better in all areas of statistics. Go me! I also got a couple of shots while I was there and sure didn’t like those. In fact, I made sure to let the doctor, Mommy and Daddy all know it. And anybody else who was in earshot of the exam room. Whichever one was in my left arm left me with a bump for a few days too. Not cool.
Tuesday was another Mother Goose story time up at the library. There were a lot more people there is time and everybody except the kid who cried the whole time and had to leave early had a good time. There was also another milestone there… When it was time to return the noise makers and shakers, I gave in to the peer pressure and returned them to the basket myself with minimal fuss. Go me! I’ve also started doing the “around and around” motion and activity at home myself. Most of the other people like this one and we do it twice, so I ought to get some practice in on my own.
The rest of the week included all kinds of playing with all kinds of stuff, including some of those things that I like but I’m not really supposed to get into.
Auntie Kristin stopped by for a bit.
Eating is always fun when you can get it on your face!
Hoarding all of my balls. Or at least as many as I can fit.
More playing out in the log cabin.
I even spent some time harassing the dogs and getting into their stuff.
I even got a new toy (or at least it was pulled out, opened up and put together). This is me checking it out and doing the initial inspection.
Some of the other hot topics including going out for breakfast Saturday morning, getting a new balloon to play with, getting my sand and water table setup and filled and coming around to the glory that is the hotdog. Yeah, you heard (or really read) that right; I had my first hotdog. I wasn’t too sure about it first, but the silly show that Mommy and Daddy put on over it was enough to get me to try it. I guess it was okay, but I really liked the sour cream and onion potato chips. I’ll take some more of those!
Anyway, that’s the basic run down. I’m sure there are some more things in there I’m forgetting about right now, but I think this, with the pictures, is more than enough for now. You may now resume your normal activities.
Wish I could be a kid again!
I know I had some good stuff as a kid, but some of the things they have and do now really takes the cake.
