My admin team has notified me that we’ve been getting a lot of spam comments on the site lately. While none of these have made it through the moderation system, we’ve decided to disable commenting unless the person is a registered user and is logged in. I recognize that this may discourage people from leaving desired comments but it should also help with all of the bogus traffic we’ve been getting. If you recall, user self registration was disabled some months ago due to fraudulent accounts being created constantly. Therefore, if you’re the type of user we’d like to have around here and don’t have an account already, you should know how to contact one of the members of my admin team and they’ll be able to get things setup for you. Also, the social media direct sharing buttons have been removed. I don’t think anybody was really using those anyway, so we tried to head that one off at the pass.
