So I popped in here to the website dashboard just to make sure things were running smoothly and do a few updates and realized I haven’t said anything new here since the Fourth of July holiday.
There has been so much since then, it left me wondering how to handle it. Do I try and go through and fake a post for everything, do I just leave it along and pretend it never happened, or maybe just one big post to cover the highlights?
It sure was going to be a big decision.
I thought there were two main problems with just leaving it. I’d be leaving out a lot of good stuff (like me starting actual public school and moving) and that would open the door to never coming back again.
Probably the best thing to do, as far as coverage and content was concerned, would be to fake a whole bunch of posts using the photo album for cues, but that would be a lot of work.
And that leaves us with the last option, making one just catchup post. That kind of post would only cover the highlights but sure would be quicker and easier to put together. Even though it wouldn’t as full blown as the previous option, it’s also probably better than nothing at all. So with that in mind, that’s what I think I’ll do. I’ll also admit right up front that there may be some things missing since I’m only going off the photo album and camera roll I have available.
So, without further ado, here we go.
We did many outdoor activities, many of which were at the behest of Mommy. Here we are with another trip to the river that runs behind the old mill. I like going down to the river and so does the dog.
Here are some flowers. They’re here because they’re kind of cool looking, but also reminded me that we tried out a handful of new places to eat. These are out front of a BBQ place. Even though Mom and Dad found some stuff they liked, I stuck to my same old routine and didn’t really try too much new stuff. I think the big new thing was Lo Mein noodles from the Chinese place.
House projects. There were lots of house projects in getting ready to put the place up for sale. This one with the hot water heater ended much better than how it looks in the picture. Hot water soon replaced the warm water and everybody was happy again.
Another house project, but this one is of note because I helped with it. Just wanted to make sure you guys knew I helped with some of them too. This one was a sewer clean out repair.
Lots more activities! To make things a little easier, here’s a quick, no frills gallery with some of the images. They include everything like the library, Ort Farms, crafts, and hiking. Take a spin through and see what you think. Are you getting jealous yet?
One of the major things that happened during our internet break was my school bus orientation. I started kindergarten this year and that was a big deal. I was a little bit nervous learning the bus thing, but it was still pretty fun. By the time I’m writing this, I have no problems with it (except for maybe that hard to pull seat belt once in a while.)
I’ve already attended programs at my new school.
My cousins had their birthday part. Good fun as usual.
We bought a new house and moved somewhere right along this time too. While this one was a big deal, there was a lot going on and it made Mommy worry a bit. But don’t worry, I helped out where I could.
These are some Canadian treats Mom brought back from one of her trips. Throughout this whole time she was taking a bunch of trips for work all over the place.
I had my birthday too and Mommy had a rock climbing party for me and my friends. We all had a blast.
And Dad had treats. As if you couldn’t imagine!
And that’s pretty much it. Well, that what I can come up with now and feel like adding in here. I’m sure there was much more, but not everything can be gold!
