We’re back online!
Some of you may have noticed that the site hasn’t been available the past week or so. Turns out our DNS provider has been having some issues again (yep, same nonsense as the last time when we weren’t accessible for something like two weeks). Since we went through this already, the troubleshooting was quick and easy and the decision was made to use another DNS provider. Updating all the naming information wasn’t as bad this time, mostly because the administrative team went through all of this already and had a good idea of what needed to be done. So, with that said, there have been two major changes.
First off, the new DNS provider meant changing all of the database records for this site. That’s all backend work that you won’t see. This also meant a change of address for the site. You won’t see that part either because of change number two.
Secondly, a short while ago, a new domain name was purchased so Daddy could build his online “empire”. We’ve been given use of one of the subdomains for this site. That also means a change of address for this site. That part you will notice. Fortunately, because of CNAME entries and aliasing, you just need to know the new (and hopefully permanent) address; all of the internet magic should happen behind the scenes for you.
So, the bottom line is we have a new address and URL. If you’re looking at this page, then you’ve gotten the right one. Update your links and bookmarks/favorites if you have any. If you go the old address (once it starts working again), you should get a notice of the new address.
