What I busy day I had today! The morning started off with a little bit of running around the house (Daddy is getting better at getting us out of the house in the morning) and a trip up to Nana’s house. I’ve been charged with entertaining her while Daddy is at school and Mommy is at work. Sometimes she’s a handful, but somebody has got to do it. Anyway, I think we had a good time up there even though I elected to sleep a little less and fuss a bit more.
In the afternoon Daddy swept in to pick me up… Off to the doctor’s for a two month check up! The doctor lady says I’m doing well. I put on more weight, grew in length a little bit and my head is getting bigger! No wonder I’ve got all of these aches and pains. And after all of that, just when I thought we were wrapping things up, she gave me some funny liquid to drink from a squirt tube. It didn’t taste too bad and the doctor lady said it would help keep me from getting sick, so I ate it. Then, all of a sudden, they laid me down and jabbed me in the leg! Boy did that hurt. I guess they thought it was fun so they did it three more times. By now it really started to hurt and I was getting annoyed, so I let them know in the best way I know how. They must have gotten the hint since after that I was quickly dressed and was given something to eat.
We left the doctor’s office and headed over to Mommy’s office where she works so they could parade me around a little bit. In reality I didn’t mind one bit… I like the attention (even though they called me a football.) We spent some time meeting all kinds of people and making jokes. I know I impressed them since they gave me more to eat.
We retuned home a not so short while later (even traffic around here stinks) and my legs were really starting to get sore and bother me. I think Mommy must have felt bad for me because I was scooped up and the three of us went out to the store. They gave me some sort of pink stuff and said it would make me feel better. It did help a bit, but hopefully I won’t need it much longer. Can’t wait for these silly shots to wear off so I can go back to normal.
Anyway, let me go… I’m not supposed to play with the laptop in the crib after hours. I’ll check in later some time after the wardens move on : )
